It Was A Cold, Cold Day!

Today was our Church Easter Egg Hunt. We woke up to a really cold, wet day. So, on go the jackets and tights. So much for cute little Easter dresses!



We had less of a crowd than usual - probably due to those issues. However, there was a great time to be had by all. Campbell found the prize egg - she was very excited about that. This is her last year in the '3 and under' category. I'm guessing that the '4-5-6' group will be a little tougher next year!

p.s. I love that Doug, our Pastor, has on Bunny Ears!

New Tactics...

We have THE toughest time getting our Little Miss to smile in photos. She won't even look at the camera for that matter. So, today I decided to let her take some photos of me with my camera. We played for a while - went back and forth - and she seemed better already.

Fancy Nancy Party

The weekend is here - you know that means birthday party time!
Today, we enjoyed dress up and birthday cake at a Fancy Nancy party. It was over the top cute - and I'm not just talking about my girl!

In Her Shoes

While at Sleeping Beauty last week, we bought a raffle ticket for these beautifully decorated pointe shoes.
SHE WON!


We weren't in attendance for the final performance. SO, she was presented the shoes at her ballet class by Aurora herself. She was pretty excited!

Out, Out Damn Spot!

Our sweet girl woke up this morning covered in spots! We didn't know what to think. Then, we discovered (after many medical phone calls) that she is allergic to penicillin! In 3 1/2 years, she has never had it, thankfully,
so we just found out.

Prior to the confirmation phone call, we gave her Benedryl, hoping that it would make the 'allergic reaction' go away. By the time we discovered that it wasn't a typical reaction - the drug was already working....

She attended a birthday party for Abby Grace in a drunken, spotted stuper. It was really sad.

(the follow-up is that she is fine now!)

Sleeping Beauty

These sweet girls enjoyed the ballet, and didn't mind the late bedtime (10!). It was a beautiful production by the local company. I'm sure these future ballerinas are practicing already!

Super Heroes to the Rescue!

This Super Cute family celebrated the birthday of their twin boys, Luke and Andy. It was a great party, and they asked everyone to dress as their favorite Super Hero!

Our girl got to wear her awesome Super Girl costume again! She loved it.

Also, she got to hang out with her friend 'Lou' - which she always loves!


In addition to hanging out with friends - she rode a bike for the first time!


The kids always make a mad dash for the candy from the pinata.

When You Think About...

SEUSS!

Tonight, we had a treat and went to see Seussical, The Musical at a local high school. Campbell was SO disappointed when she thought none of her friends could make it. Imagine how excited she was when a friend from school, Ryleigh, happened to be there in line with us!

It was also nice to see one of the youth from Church, Jack, playing the role of Horton.

If that wasn't enough fun, a couple of other friends, Chloe and Sydney, ended up being there as well! We all had a great time.

SNOW DAY!

it was 65 degrees out yesterday...

there were tornado warnings in our area yesterday...

today it SNOWED in Georgia!

Of course, we had to build a snowman. A little smaller than last year. However, the snow this time was REALLY wet and brittle.

Well, maybe we were just having too much fun throwing snowballs at each other and neighbors to worry with building a big snowman!

Vi and Meg had a blast running around catching snowballs too! It was a wonderful diversion, and good reason to make some chili!

Happy 68th Birthday Jim!

We went to pick up Munchkin from her Grandparent's house today (they were sweet enough to babysit for us last night). We stayed because it was Jim's birthday! We went to, guess which type of restaurant? Of course, we made him wear this crazy hat!

I Hope You Dance

Sorry for the delay in posts (this one is back dated). It has, without doubt, been one of the worst weeks ever. We lost a friend this week, well before his time. (Bob - top left) This is a photo from 'back in the day'. We were stupid, naive, and 'young' - before kids and bigger mortgages! You know, the 'good old days'!

Today was his funeral. I really don't even know what to say, other than, we will miss him greatly. As we sat there, mourning a friend - listening to the beautiful words spoken and those being sung - we also heard quiet sobbing. His very young daughter (just older than ours) was the most brilliant one there, as she twirled to the music. It was so beautiful and so sad - all at once.

We will love and miss you Bob.
