Saturday Play...continued

IT IS FINALLY HERE!

After 3-4 years, the wait is over. I watched this show religiously when it was on HBO.
Now, we had the opportunity to take some MUCH needed girl time.

We got together at Kazan for...
various martinis,
yummy food,
lots of conversation.
Then, we strutted on over to the theater for the show.
You should have seen how dressed up people were for a movie!
(of course, our group included)
We had a great time - thanks to everyone for being
there and making it a great evening.

When is the next movie night?

Seriously - we did!
We met up with some of Hubby's old friends at
the Renaissance Festival.

I'm not sure what this guy did all day,
but, as it was really hot,
(again - we are already in the summer here!)

I hope it didn't involve chaffing -
that skirt surely can't breath that well!

Saturday Play

A really nice morning around the house.
By that, of course, I mean...
the doll house.

Yes, it is already summer in the South.
No, I didn't tell her to wear that (coordinating) hat!
She is getting a mind of her own about dressing...
3 to 5 times a day even!

Slippery Slope...

So - I'm going to say that this is her Father's daughter.
Why else would she remove her top while at the
Lingenfelter's house for play?

As long as we don't have a repeat photo in 15 years!

Graduation

This week was graduation Sunday for all of the Children's Sunday School classes.

Boo, along with some of her friends - is moving up to the 3 & 4 year old class.
AND, after 2 years of trying to get her to keep her bow in her hair...
she decided that today was the day it would stick.
She would have none of that putting on the graduation hat!

How we managed to not get all 4 that were present in one photo - I do not know!

Reflections...

Looking back on a big year as we wrapped up the Montessori year with a class picnic. We had to move indoors, due to inclimate weather, but that didn't deter the kids from having fun.

I can't even imagine how old I was when I knew all that she knows. Kids know and learn so much these days (don't I sound old)! I know that I did not know how to count very well, or something that starts with each letter of the alphabet, or the continents.

Thank you so much Miss Pat and Miss Kelly for letting our girl play, have fun, make friends, discover glue, setting the table and water fountains.
Oh yeah - and she learned a little along the way.

Morning...

Hubby and brother prepared a lovely homemade breakfast of French toast, fruits and bacon for everyone. Yum! Great planning you guys - it was nice to sleep in AND have a great breakfast!


We went to Church with Grammie, and they had a 'baby parade'. So, someone twisted our arms until we took 'Boo' up to the front of the Church. Grammie was a little proud.


Last hug before we go - it was great to see you Brother. Love you!

They Say It's My Birthday!...or...

THE BIG 4-0!

We celebrated my birthday at Casa Blanca's with family & friends.
DO note the '40' tiara that Mom added to my look. It was fitting, as the gift of choice for the evening was 'bling'. As a mostly 'non-jewelry' girl - it was a special treat.

I will have to make sure that I wear it all when we (my Sweetie and I) take the 'official' 40th birthday trip later this summer.

GIRL'S NIGHT!

SO - we are off for an unstressful - fun evening to celebrate...
MY BIRTHDAY!

Best way to start any evening - with a pedicure.

Afterward, we grabbed a bite to eat at a new restaurant here in town - Amira's. It was wonderful. They serve many traditional items - but, my FAVORITE food in the world is Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine. YUM! Grape leaves, hummus, etc.

Now - the silly part began. We went back to Carla's for wine and chit chat. We did plenty of both. It was a great night.

This could mean:

(1) Quit trying to take my picture,
(2) Although we've had a blast at Wednesday Night Dinner - I've asked you to 'pack it up' about 3 times (and you keep running your mouth),

So, I don't post my cakes on this site very often - but, I love this one. A sweet family from our Church is adopting a baby from Vietnam. Her friends got this for her baby shower.

Welcome Home!

I haven't seen one of my brothers, Matthew, in about 3 years. He has been living in St. Louis. With 'Cee' being born about that time - we haven't traveled up there often enough (I have another brother and sister in the area as well!). Anyway, he has now moved back to our home town.

Cee can't wait to meet her Uncle Matthew - officially!
