We wrapped up the month of birthdays today with Ryleigh's birthday. She is her friend from the 'Blue' room at school, and previously from Mommy and Me Music.

It might have been the most unique theme...Ariel/Thomas the Train! You have to give it up to Moms who let their kids pick their own theme...completely! (shouldn't we all?!?!)

Our Home Away From Home

We spent a few hours at our Friday home away from home,
POP'S PLACE!A few 'old friends' were there - Sydney and Chloe (by old, I mean they are ALMOST 5! ha)

Here is a new friend, Ashely, that has just moved to town. She is also in Campbell's Children's Church group.

Jump In The Line!

She has been asking to hear this song for a couple of days. When she saw a photo of Mommy in this dress from 'back in the day', she thought it was pretty cool. When I told her that the dress was attainable and in the next room - she thought that was REALLY cool.

Putting the song with the dress was just the natural progression! Enjoy!

Another Super Saturday!

Not sure what was going on mid-April through early May in this town....
but, there are lots of babies to show for it! I didn't know so many children could be born in one month!

We had our 2nd official date night of the year tonight. We went to see a movie (Defiance), then for Mighty Joe's Pizza and a beer.
It is amazing that adult conversation can actually happen when there isn't a 3 year old around!

Baby Bear gets up from playing in 'her' kitchen, frantically looks around on the floor and says...

Wildcat!

The Wild Animal Safari is back! We had the pleasure of getting to visit with this beautiful African Wildcat. Note the apprehension on the face of the smallest morsel in the room! The cat didn't care too much for personal contact. She would respond with a hiss that sounded like she meant it!

She was really beautiful though!

Sweet Lily!

Yesterday, we got to spend some time celebrating Lily's 4th birthday at Pop's Place. We had a great time, and Campbell got to see her sweet friend Lily (more than just at Ballet) - what a treat!

Look at the cake her mommy made - didn't she do a great job!! The kids were eyeing those chocolate butterflies!

Some sweet friends of ours are leaving for an adventure! They are moving to Colorado! Since Rowen will have to make some new friends....

His parents decided to have an early birthday party. He wanted a SHARK! Isn't it cute?

I'm serious - if you ask me, I will say no! However, I do abide by these 'rules' and more. I guess I'm playing it safe? How crazy is that?

A birthday party gave her the opportunity to bounce around and play (to exert some cold weather energy!). While I'm not sure she will want to cheer (due to the fact that she ran around dancing and leaping) - we have plenty of time to figure that out!

It's A Date!

SO, my Sweet Hubby and I realized that we have not been going on many dates 'one-on-one'. For Christmas, he surprised me with 3 completely planned date (I mean, babysitter arranged, tickets purchased, restaurants chosen, times and dress codes decided, etc. etc.).

We started this first date with some yummy Korean fare and conversation...

OK, you may not know this about me...I LOVE to go bowling! It is so relaxed. Of course, I'm horrible at it, but, who cares! We had a great time, had a few beers, and I never broke a score of '100'!

You may not have seen as many of these last two on the blog. That is because they live WAY UP NORTH near St. Louis. We miss them, and their parents greatly. We can't wait to see them in April!

Happy New Year!

It is but a couple of times a year that this group gets together. These are a couple of college friends of Coleman's. Who else would he shuffle to the Shell Mart for on New Year's Day? (for coffee, which we don't drink!) It wouldn't be the same without Tina, Randall and Gery!

We decided to be a little more low key this year and have a nice dinner with a small group. It was lots of work, but it was really nice to sit down (at least for a few minutes) during the holiday season!
