Happy 68th Birthday Jim!

We went to pick up Munchkin from her Grandparent's house today (they were sweet enough to babysit for us last night). We stayed because it was Jim's birthday! We went to, guess which type of restaurant? Of course, we made him wear this crazy hat!

I Hope You Dance

Sorry for the delay in posts (this one is back dated). It has, without doubt, been one of the worst weeks ever. We lost a friend this week, well before his time. (Bob - top left) This is a photo from 'back in the day'. We were stupid, naive, and 'young' - before kids and bigger mortgages! You know, the 'good old days'!

Today was his funeral. I really don't even know what to say, other than, we will miss him greatly. As we sat there, mourning a friend - listening to the beautiful words spoken and those being sung - we also heard quiet sobbing. His very young daughter (just older than ours) was the most brilliant one there, as she twirled to the music. It was so beautiful and so sad - all at once.

We will love and miss you Bob.

McBebes

I have found a new trick for dinner. If I can't think of anything - ask Campbell!
She will generally ALWAYS pick some type of breakfast food.
(I LOVE BforD - Coleman doesn't...this gets me off the hook!)

Her current favorite - at any time - is eggs. SO, I suggested McBebes.
If you haven't tried making these yummy concoctions - similar, but WAY better than the commercial stuff, give it a try! All you need is poached eggs (my favorite!), Canadian bacon, Swiss cheese and some womp biscuits (we use Grands).

They are called McBebes because my Step Mom is the one who makes these (she is Bebe). They are easy, and always a favorite. Campbell's only problem is that she has a hard time keeping jelly on them while taking a bite!

They're Playing....Bas-ket-ball...

My Darling Husband plays on the Church League team for our Church, First Presbyterian. They have the best time running around like boys. Tonight, they played in the first round of the playoffs. They thought there was no chance - but, THEY WON! We are so proud!

Brilliant

If you don't think your house is dirty - clean your chandelier. I usually do this once a year. It may have been 2 this time.
YUK! But, the results are brilliant!

The Brown Bag Menagerie

As mentioned on earlier posts - it is not always easy to fill the time when it is either cold or someone is sick. Well, we have had both. SO, we have the menagerie above. Puppets anyone?

Out of the Haze

We made it out of the house, after she missed the last 3 days of school. We all needed to get out. Especially, since I 'fell to the ground' sick about 30 minutes after getting home from the party. We'll always have the party!

We enjoyed some crafts today that were for the birds! How could they not enjoy crunchy peanut butter (sans salmonella on the recall list) and lots of yummy seeds!
It also made for a quick afternoon at our house.

Dental Diva

Campbell 'enjoyed' her first visit to Dr. Etherton. Actually - she was a champ!

Afterwards, we enjoyed the time honored tradition (from my childhood) of getting ice cream. She wanted the pink swirls. We did deviate from my habit of going to Baskin Robbins (they don't have one here) - we went to a local place called Sara Jays. YUM!
(I know - going to ice cream after a teeth cleaning - maybe not the best tradition?!?!? But, it sure is a yummy treat!)
