Leaping Leprechauns!...

Well, our friend, Miss Fiona (who is more Irish than we), told us that IF we leave mushrooms for the Leprechauns - they will leave us GOLD! This is the scene as she got up this morning. We decided that it might creep her out if he came in her room!

She left her boots on the steps, in a tidy 'side-by-side' arrangement. Apparently, the leprechauns knocked them over - and left green confetti everywhere (AND in the shoes).

These sweet little Irish (well - at least a big portion) eyes weren't having that. She promptly picked them up and dumped them out.

We'll see how she feels about the Easter Bunny later this week!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

This is our first year at our Church for Easter. It was a great egg hunt at the Hutchinson's home. All the kids were so polite (at least in our little '3 and under' area). Joel even gave our Sweet Girl an egg that they both were eyeing (after she whined a little). He is such a sweet boy.

Daddy had to do some explaining before we tried out the trampoline. All the kids were jumping (to work off that sugar high?), and she said, "I might like to try that".

Well, as it turned out, she takes after Mommy and Daddy, and it isn't her favorite. But, she did give it a try!

Let the Egg Hunting Begin!

Kitty and Gavin had some people over for their 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt. It is, sadly, about the only time our entire neighborhood gets together - well, those with kids anyway. There were tons of kids, and our little hunter had fun playing with Emma Frances and some other friends.

I guess this is the official start of Egg Hunting Season!

Mommy, This is SO Not Hot...

SO, I am baking some cakes for clients today - as I do on occasion. Miss Priss can't be a part of 'client' baking - and she 'bakes' in her own kitchen while I cook. However, when cakes come out of the oven, they have to be leveled. My household vultures can detect a cake leveling from ANYWHERE in the house. She comes over, immediately, and asks to sample the goods. I explain that 325 degrees is pretty hot, and doesn't she notice all the steam coming out of the cake. "You will have to wait until it has cooled Sweetie." I go about my business preparing boards or something.

From the other room, I hear the above. (as she reaches for a sample)

Only Six Weeks to Go!

My Sister, Leslie, and I (along with 3 other friends) hosted a shower for our sister-in-law, Jill. She only has 6 weeks until her 'due-date'.

Cousins...

THIS was a PACKED weekend. I had consignment commitments (and enjoyed them!), Ken and Donna were married (beautiful!), and we celebrated Granddaddy's birthday with the family (at the Farm). ANY opportunity to see her cousins (and everyone else) - is appreciated by our girl.

Grandmother had a special treat in store for lunch. Hot dogs were grilled down by the creek. While I didn't get to join in on these festivities - the kids REALLY enjoyed themselves. As you might notice, her pants are absent. They took a hit when she took a spill in the water. That's OK, there was still fun to be had. It isn't just everyday that you find a turtle shell to play with. Also, not every day that you get to see Uncle Phil use grilling skills to dry your clothes (and NOT burn them!)

I did arrive in time to help set her up for her first sleepover. She LOVED sleeping in the floor for the first time. Phillip and Anderson, however, weren't as thrilled. Maybe it was because her enthusiasm was evident in the fact that she wouldn't be quiet and let them go to sleep. Maybe next time will go a little better?!?! We can't wait!
