This is stock footage of her 'getting her groove on'! She might not be so froggy when her Sweet Girl arrives!

A Tiger She Can Ride...
We stopped for dinner, on the way home, and she spotted...a tiger she can ride!
What a Sunday!
Bear with me. I know that I am playing catch up, but it has been a crazy couple of weeks!
Speaking of the donkeys - here they are.....Chiquita, Maria and Taco.

Grandmother giving a good scratch.

The Mitchells - all in a row. (Phillip, Phil, Anderson and Kim)

My sweet husband. He and his Dad cleaned up the ponds a little and put up some duck houses out in the water.
We had a great time - Happy Birthday Granddaddy!

Cousins...
THIS was a PACKED weekend. I had consignment commitments (and enjoyed them!), Ken and Donna were married (beautiful!), and we celebrated Granddaddy's birthday with the family (at the Farm). ANY opportunity to see her cousins (and everyone else) - is appreciated by our girl.

Grandmother had a special treat in store for lunch. Hot dogs were grilled down by the creek. While I didn't get to join in on these festivities - the kids REALLY enjoyed themselves. As you might notice, her pants are absent. They took a hit when she took a spill in the water. That's OK, there was still fun to be had. It isn't just everyday that you find a turtle shell to play with. Also, not every day that you get to see Uncle Phil use grilling skills to dry your clothes (and NOT burn them!)
I did arrive in time to help set her up for her first sleepover. She LOVED sleeping in the floor for the first time. Phillip and Anderson, however, weren't as thrilled. Maybe it was because her enthusiasm was evident in the fact that she wouldn't be quiet and let them go to sleep. Maybe next time will go a little better?!?! We can't wait!Friday, February 29, 2008
Consignment Fever....
Ok, today marks the halfway point for the bi-annual consignment sale (hell?) frenzy. I LOVE the excitement of hunting through clothes, toys and shoes for THE perfect items. However, the 'hell' part comes from assembling my old things to put in the sale. Here is how it works.......
(1) you sign up 6 months prior to the sale for the privilege of putting your items in,
(2) you promise to work AND put in items so that you can go in 2 hours prior to the public,
(3) you put each and every item that you no longer want on a hanger, attach a specially printed card with a safety pin, and hope that they don't reject it for a dotted stain of baby food.
Sure, it would be much easier to go out and buy everything new - but, what is the fun in that?

Happy Birthday Luke and Andy!
Luke and Andy celebrated with an Astronaut Theme today. Priss is completely fascinated with the Space Shuttle (along with her Daddy) - so, it was extra fun playing with the blow-up space shuttles, etc. Of course, she also enjoys jumping and playing in the 'bouncy' castles and gauntlets. (Daddy didn't mind playing in them either!)

Saturdays CAN Be Wild!
We have been 'cooped' up every weekend either (a) being sick, (b) cleaning house, or (c) being lame. There have also been weekends away with family - not lame, but, not home. SO, we decided to have a family day. Nothing crazy, we just went to the local Wild Animal Park (about 20 minutes down the road).
We had a GREAT time. It was fun to see all the animals, and to be silly. The fact that admission is free for our county residents for the month of February didn't hurt either (saved us about $45 for our family of 3).
Needless to say, the animals are up close and personal. I highly recommend paying the $11 to rent a 'safari vehicle'. The animals are so eager to get the park food, that they will jump right in and join you on your journey.

Would you really want to see this coming into your newly detailed vehicle?

What's For Dinner?
In an attempt to get the entire family on board for 'Good Eats' - I have done a couple of things. 1 - I am planning meals for the week, in advance. This takes lots of stress off of me when 5:30pm rolls around.
2 - I am incorporating more and more vegetables/fruits into each meal.
3 - Every gets to pitch in, when applicable.
While I realize that many people do this all the time - it is something that we are starting to do on a very regular basis. I love it!
By the way - tonight, we had Pineapple Chicken Kebobs. The chicken strip coating had bread crumbs, flax seed meal, sweet potato puree and pineapple juice. YUM! Also, we enjoyed brown rice and fruit kebobs that Priss helped build.
