"My Party"

She loved the balloons for "My Party" (which is all she has been talking about for a couple of weeks now!)
Funny story - while she has, in her lifetime, received tons of presents and lots of college fund monies - she has never received actual money. Her Aunt Leslie and Uncle Thad gave her a purse and wallet, which Aunt Leslie then padded with a single. She has been hypnotized by that which she has no knowledge. One can only hope that this lasts a while!

How I Spent My Summer Vacation

I had fun making this cake for my girl all day Friday and Saturday. (fast forward - we haven't even cut the cake yet - we ate cupcakes only!)

Happy Birthday Angelbaby!

We had a wonderful day celebrating our sweet girl's 2nd birthday. We had a nice breakfast and let her open some cards (she LOVES cards) and her gift from Aunt Leah, Uncle Darren and her Cousin Ethan - she had a great time playing. Thanks guys! We also did some swinging (her favorite thing to do) in her swing in the back yard. Then, she celebrated with her friends at Montessori with chocolate star cupcakes and sugar sprinkles. (she was most excited to carry the container in to show her teachers and friends). After lunch with Daddy and a nap, we went shopping for a few things. Her day got a cherry on top when Mommy and Daddy gave her the one thing she has been asking for........ELMO. She has seen Sesame Street about 10 times - and she, hands down, loves Elmo more than any other. She cried when we took Elmo away and placed him next to Grover (a gift from a friend last year) to wait for her to wake up in the morning. It was a good day to turn two. We love you Baby!

FuNkY FrUiT

We FINALLY had enough to harvest and share! It is a little known fact that rain is actually required for tomatoes to get big enough to eat. AND, if that isn't available, you must water regularly. Go figure! My favorite is the lemon tomato on the left. It is rubbing off on the others, I think!

1st Day of Montessori (with 2 's's)

She was very excited about her first day at Montessori (this word always makes me want to add more letters!). It will be nice to learn and meet new friends.

An Early Present

She received an early gift from our friends, the Walters, via the Lingenfelter express! She loves the bench, and wanted to read to her friends. Thank you guys!

We were in Lake Country this weekend to celebrate the upcoming wedding of my sister, Leslie, and my (soon-to-be) brother-in-law, Thad. Best Wishes! We Love You! We had a great time - can't wait for Mexico!

What's For Dinner

Ok, if you are in a pinch - this is THE best dinner in 5 minutes (they even have vegetarian options). The whole wheat ravioli takes 5 minutes. I use the seasoned diced tomatoes instead of spaghetti sauce (less sodium, etc.). Warm it and go. Yum!

Yummy, yummy in my tummy....

"m&m&m&m&m&m&ms"

This is what our little potty trainer calls them. This morning, while changing her diaper, I mentioned them. She said, "yummy, yummy in my tummy!". She is giving the whole potty training thing a go. She is doing it at least once a day. She gets '3' mini m&ms. Generally, she then says, "more"? In her mind, this is toddler gold!

Ratatouille

Our little one is squinting because she has just sat through her very first movie in a theater. She and Dad did walk around for about 10 minutes at the end - but, we saw the entire movie AND the credits. Some friends had highly recommended that we skip the previews and show up 15 minutes after 'scheduled' start time. Great idea! It worked!
